LAS VEGAS, Nevada — January 19, 2010 — At the 2010 International Builders’ Show, Tiger Claw Inc. is showcasing its hidden deck fastener installation gun for Trex grooved composite decking. The tool works with Trex’s proprietary Trex Hideaway™ hidden deck fastener system. Trex Hideaway is used for one of Trex’s most popular collections of decking and railing — Trex Brasilia® — and provides a cleaner deck surface, free of nails and screws. The new Tiger Claw tool reduces the already-quick installation of Trex’s groove fasteners.

Using the installation gun, builders can install 400 square feet of decking in less than an hour. The fastener installation gun drives a collated pneumatic screw in like a nail, but can be removed like a screw. Simply slip the hidden deck fastener into the nose of the gun and position it in the groove of the board. The gun automatically enables perfect positioning of fastener and screw installation with the pull of a trigger. Builders, using Trex hidden deck fasteners, now have a one-step installation process for installing hidden deck fasteners.
