LAS VEGAS, Nevada — January 19, 2010 — At the 2010 International Builders’ Show, Tiger Claw Inc. today debuted its powerful new Tiger Jaw tool, designed to eliminate the need for a sledge hammer when installing Tiger Claw’s hidden deck fasteners into decking material. The Tiger Claw booth is located in the North Hall, #3103.
“Tiger Claw has spent the last decade listening to contractors and do-it-yourself deck builders,” said David Hartmann, president of Tiger Claw Inc. “We are proud that the Tiger Jaw innovation was developed to meet their needs. It enables a faster and easier installation of certain drive-in fasteners like Tiger Claw’s TC-3, TC-4, and Proclip. It takes the backache out of deck building.”
The Tiger Jaw uses compression to install solid edge deck boards when using any Tiger Claw fastener that creates at least a 1/8" gap between boards. The Tiger Jaw is powerful enough to remove a "bow" from just about any type of wood or composite material.
The Tiger Jaw is placed over the last attached board and the board about to be installed. Once seated flat on the deck boards, the boards are pressed onto the Tiger Claw fastener by pushing the lever. Each fastener will automatically create a gap between each deck board.
