BRISTOL, Connecticut
- June 14, 2005 - As a part of its ongoing community outreach,
Tiger Claw Inc. has donated its patented hidden deck fasteners to a dock re-decking project at the
280-acre Indian Rock Nature Preserve, in Connecticut. Indian Rock is just one part of the
Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut, which provides educational programs for more
than 200 schools annually. Each year the Center’s programs reach more than 46,000
participants.
"This project was a great opportunity for Tiger Claw not only to give something back to the
community but also showcase our projects on a beautiful nail-free swimming dock in a glorious
natural
environment," said David Hartmann, president of Tiger Claw.
"Indian Rock is a great
asset for the local community and we we’re happy to help in any way we
could."
The swimming dock provides access to the Preserve's pristine 10-acre Indian Lake. During the
summer, the Preserve’s day camp is busy with campers from ages 4 to 16. The preserve also
hosts a farm, a fleet of canoes & kayaks, miles of trails upon which to explore the forest, and
many indoor program areas. |
